AGE: 93 • Port Norris

Philoemina Galiyano, 93, of Port Norris died Tuesday morning, May 26, 2015 at home. Born in Port Norris she was a lifetime resident and the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary DeJohn Leonetti and the wife of the late Lawrence Galiyano. She worked at Newcomb's Market and drove a school bus for Dagastine's Transfer prior to opening and operating Westside Luncheonette from her home for 39 years. She was well known for her good cooking.

Surviving are her daughter Johanna Galiyano, her grandson Michael Cassidy, great granddaughter Adrianna Grace Cassidy. She was predeceased by her son Joseph, siblings, Louis, Tony & Sam Leonetti, Teressa & Millie Damico, Rosey Dagastine & Lena Hughes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Church on Main St. Port Norris on Saturday May 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Haleyville Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Hoffman Funeral Homes, 2507 High St., Port Norris on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Memorial donations may be made to The Parish of The Holy Cross, St. Anthony's Church 46 Central Ave. Bridgeton, NJ 08302.

Joseph A. Galiyano 51, of Port Norris died suddenly Wednesday morning. Born in Bridgeton he was a lifelong Port Norris resident. Joe was the son of Philoemina Leonetti Galiyano and the late Lawrence Galiyano, he was the husband of Jacqueline Youmans Galiyano. Joe was a truck driver for over 25 years, he drove for Catlett Trucking for over 20 years, and was currently driving for Nardelli, Inc. LLC in Cedarville. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed fishing and playing video games. He was a member of St. Anthony's Church in Port Norris. Surviving are his wife Jacqueline, mother, Philoemina, daughter, Shemika Downing and her children Julessia Rivera and Chad Giordillo, Jr., daughter Shannon Downing and her children Keyan T. German and Michael A. Mason, III, step daughter, Erica Bader and her husband Shawn and their children, Gabriella Caraballo, Dominic Caraballo, and Adriana Bader, step son, Lawrence Hickman "Turtle" and his children Kiannah Maines and Jacyana Hickman, sister, Johanna Galiyano, nephew, Michael Cassidy, great niece Adrianna Cassidy.

A viewing will be held at the HOFFMAN FUNERAL HOMES 2507 High Street Port Norris on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 9:00 to 11:30 followed by a Funeral Mass at The Parish of the Holy Cross St. Anthony's Church Main St. Port Norris at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in Haleyville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Philoemina Galiyano 1589 Main St. Port Norris, NJ 08349.
