Lifetime Port Norris resident

Paul “Paulie” W. Chamberlain, 62, of Port Norris died Sunday evening, April 14, 2013, at home under hospice care.

Born in Millville, he was the son of the late Paul H. and Ruth Atkinson Chamberlain. Paulie was a lifetime resident of Port Norris and was a member of the Port Norris Fire Company and Port Norris Baptist Church. Paulie could be seen anywhere throughout town, wherever anything was happening. He served as honorary supervisor for Commercial Township; he would make his rounds to every office and check on the guys at the Road Department.

Whenever there was a function at the firehouse Paulie was always sure to stop by. He was truly a living legend in Port Norris and is surely going to be missed by many.

Surviving are his brothers, Wayne J. Chamberlain of Chalfont, Pa., and Guy H. Chamberlain of Port Norris; and nieces and nephews, Kevin, Natalie, Adam, Mallory, Samantha and Wayne, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at the Shiloh Baptist Church, Memorial Avenue, Port Norris, on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kevin Buczkowski of Port Norris Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Haleyville Cemetery. Viewings will be held at the Church on Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
