Hannah Nichols
Recognized as a Legend of Port Norris on November 8, 2015

Hannah E. Nichols, 86, of Port Norris died on Thursday December 19, 2024, in Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Hannah was born in Millville to the late William and Hannah Heulings, she lived most of her life in Port Norris where she married the late John Nichols, and they raised two sons. Hannah worked for Commercial Township as Township Clerk for more than 45 years, it was more than just a job, it was her Life. She loved her job and the people she worked with; the community was her family. Hannah loved animals; she had rescued several injured birds in her lifetime. She had a heart of gold and was always helping people in their time of need. She is survived by sons John L. Nichols Jr (Wendy Nichols), Mark Nichols, grandchildren, Amanda Nichols (Ben Watson), Jennifer Loper, Ryan Loper (Elyce Loper), Christine Carson (Tom Carson), great grandchildren, Rhett Watson, Ryleigh Watson, TJ Carson, Joey Carson, Paisley Loper, Holden Loper. She was predeceased by her parents William and Hannah Heulings, her husband John L. Nichols, one brother and four sisters. A memorial service will be held at Hoffman Funeral Homes 2507 High St., Port Norris, NJ 08349 on Saturday January 11, 2025, at 11:00AM with a visitation from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. Burial will be private. To send condolences and or tributes, please visit www.hoffmanfuneralhomes.net.
