It was a cold day but how much fun it was to talk about our gardens in January.
Thank you to everyone who came to share seeds and stories!
What is a Seed Swap? It is a gathering of people, usually gardeners, who have come together to share seeds. The seeds can include locally saved seeds, excess bought seeds, seeds brought back from other regions, or donated seeds. Normally, seeds are spread on tables and people choose what they want. The goal is to bring people together to share seeds.
With Covid, we can not have a large gathering as we hoped. However, we do have wonderful seeds to share. We would ask everyone to wear a mask and please try to give everyone personal space so we all stay well. Sadly we will have no extra activities this year.
We have 2 seed companies participating this year.
Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company has donated all kinds of wonderful things to grow. Visit their website rareseeds.com
Rohrer Seeds has donated a large number of seeds. Many great spring veggies. They are local, just in the Lancaster area and they have a wonderful store. Visit their website rohrerseeds.com
If you want to bring seeds to share we welcome that. But, if you do not have seeds to bring, you are still invited to come and get seeds. You can share seeds next year.
